Tool inputs are processed in your browser

The tools are designed to process the text, dates, and files you provide on your device. The site does not send tool inputs to a ToolsLodge processing server, and the tools do not save those inputs as site data. Tool pages describe their supported inputs and limitations.

Browser storage, clipboard, and downloads

The site uses local storage to remember your appearance preferences: color mode and palette. It does not store tool inputs there. You can remove site data in your browser's site-data settings. Copy and download actions happen only when you choose them; copied content goes to your clipboard and downloaded files are saved using your browser's normal download behavior.

Optional tool requests

Selecting “Yes, build it” sends your trimmed search term (up to 120 characters), a Cloudflare Turnstile verification token, and an anti-spam field as feedback to ToolsLodge. Cloudflare's verification script loads only after you select the button. Searching alone does not submit feedback or load that script. Do not include private information in a request. Your browser stores a hashed term key and a request receipt to prevent duplicate votes in that browser. Clearing site data removes these receipts. The request service also receives normal connection information, such as your IP address.

Feedback board and tool-notification emails

If you submit feedback through the feedback API, ToolsLodge stores the request text, source, optional tool context, details, and display name in Cloudflare D1. An explicitly submitted feedback request is separate from input processed by a tool. Do not include private information. Public ideas and optional display names may appear on the board after moderation; raw submissions and email addresses are not public.

Board visits, submissions, and votes use a signed first-party cookie lasting up to one year to recognize the same browser. Only a hash of its random visitor ID is stored with requests and votes. Clearing cookies permits another vote and removes access to adding email to older submissions. Submission verification uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare may process connection and verification information under its own privacy terms.

If you optionally request a tool-notification email, ToolsLodge stores your address, confirmation and unsubscribe tokens, and subscription timestamps in D1. Cloudflare Email handles confirmation delivery. You must confirm your address before receiving launch notifications. Confirmation links expire after seven days. The unsubscribe link stops all tool-notification emails; a suppression record is retained to honor that choice. Unsubscribing never removes your vote or changes an idea.

Requests to the website and hosting provider

Your browser must request pages and site assets, such as scripts and self-hosted fonts, from the website's hosting provider. Those requests reveal basic connection information, including your IP address and technical request details, to that provider. Tool input is not included in these requests. The provider's handling and retention of request logs are governed by its own terms and privacy practices.

The current site does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts, and the ToolsLodge application does not use cookies for tool processing or appearance preferences. If those services are added, this policy will be updated before they are enabled. The optional ad-space setting currently reserves labeled space only; it does not load an ad provider.

Sharing page links

Shared links include fixed campaign tags that identify ToolsLodge's page-sharing feature, not you. Only the public page address and these tags are included; existing query parameters, fragments, and tool inputs are not shared. The browser emits local share-action events containing the public page path, sharing method, and outcome. These events are not stored or transmitted by this feature. Choosing a sharing app opens that provider, whose own privacy practices apply.

Email and contact

If you contact ToolsLodge by email, your email application and email providers will handle the message and its contents. Share only information needed to describe the issue. Do not email passwords, access tokens, private documents, or other sensitive tool input.

Changes to this policy

This policy describes the current site. It will be updated if the site's data practices change. Check the update date above for the latest version.
